Brent Voth, PT, MAPT
Brent earned his masters degree in physical therapy in 1995 from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, doing his thesis work in manual therapy. Wanting to gain as much knowledge as possible out of college, he began his career as a traveling therapist, contracting around the country with different health organizations. Discovering his true passion was hands-on, manual therapy, Brent came to Austin, TX in 1999 to focus solely on this type of specialized work. Brent proudly opened the private practice – North Star Manual Therapy – in 2004. He has been recognized in various newspapers and by different organizations for his experience with manual therapy, including his success with treating all types of acute injuries, visceral problems, and cranial ailments. To expand and broaden his specialty in manual therapy, Brent pursues intense continuing education classes around the country each year. In his spare time, Brent enjoys all sports, anything outdoors and spending time with his wife, Lana, and son, Gavin. Email Brent |

Jeff Freeman, PT, MSPT
Jeff joined the North Star Manual Therapy team in April of 2005. Originally from Boston, MA, Jeff came to Texas after earning his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1999. An avid athlete and former college hockey player, Jeff has passionately specialized in manual therapy and sports medicine since the onset of his career. Always seeking to improve his knowledge and skills, he travels all over the country taking intense continuing education courses. Jeff enjoys mountain biking, trail running and golf (and continues to lace up the skates); although most of his free time he spends with his wife, Marissa, and their two children Luke and Mya. Jarod Carter, PT, DPT, MTC, CSCS
Jarod joined North Star Manual Therapy in September of 2008. A native of Austin, Jarod attended The University of Texas where he was a Diver on the National Champion UT Swimming and Diving Team. After graduating with High Honors in Kinesiology, he attended The University of St. Augustine, due to its reputation as a leader in Manual Therapy training. Jarod earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and graduated Valedictorian of his class in 2005. He began his career in Austin, though he has also spent over a year in traveling Physical Therapy positions. Jarod is passionate about continuing education, and became a Certified Manual Therapist in 2006 and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2008. He loves surfing, dancing, and playing guitar; and is very excited to be a part of the North Star Manual Therapy team. Email Jarod |

Denise Hansen Office Administrator Meet Denise Hansen, the Administrative Assistant at North Star. She has been a valuable asset at North Star since May 2004. She is very competent in all areas of the practice and is the friendly voice you will hear when you call. She is married with 3 sons. She and her husband are active parents in their education, sports and church. Hobbies include fishing, sewing, swimming and just enjoying being a family. She enjoys coming to work each day confident in the knowledge, talent and ability our PT's have for healing and preventing injuries. AJ Armstrong Administrative Assistant AJ Armstrong began working at North Star in January of 2008. She loves people and enjoys visiting with our patients and watching them improve so rapidly. She is married and has 1 son, Joel, who attends college at Tarleton State University in Stephenville, TX, and a very spoiled Miniature Pincher, Toby. She and her husband, Rick, are active members of First Baptist Church, Georgetown. AJ volunteers in the media and creative arts area and Rick has recently joined the staff as a part time Creative Arts Ministry Director.AJ’s hobbies include boating with Rick, running and needlework. She also cares for her 84 year old mother that lives with them. Her favorite pastime is “cruising” around with Rick in their Jeep Wrangler with the top and doors off. Email AJ |
